Wedge Out of Town Cup 2026
For our 2026 Out of Town Cup we had a location change from Denmark to Wedge and wow did we score!

Saturday started off with a few crew heading up to Hangover Bay and scoring some fun waves. A few others decided to hit the backbeach up which wasn’t as ideal but still had a fun time nonetheless. This then turned into a Saturday night gathering at the Lano pub for a coldie, feed and catchup.
Sunday morning we started the day off by meeting at the carpark in Wedge and awaiting for the masses to arrive. Once they had, Peter Harvey lead us on the short trek down to Banana Bay. The anticipation was high as we all scrambled to find a parking spot and be first up the hill to check conditions and boy were we treated. An empty lineup, no wind (which is very rare for Wedge) and most importantly - waves! In the blink of an eye the lineup was packed while JC and Peter Harvey were still choosing a board to ride out of their quiver of 46.

It was amazing to see so many happy smiling faces - new and old out in the water getting their cup filled after the recent lack of swell for our first two club rounds.
We were being treated to one of those days that you can only dream about (in Perth anyways) where the waves didn’t stop.
After 4/5 hours or so all the surfed out smiling faces headed back into shore with everyone having their own stories to tell on how good we just scored.
Back on the beach our President and VP handed out a few awards.
Stoke levels were high in the water as Jeff Hughes took out the day's ‘Most Sweetest Ride’ award, rewarded with an impressive cake-mix prize.

The Full of Beans award consisted of coffee beans and it went to Courtney - we can all see why. She always has a smile on her dial, always encouraging everyone and having a good time.

The Good Looking Rooster award was won by Tash Moore for being such a stylish and cool looking rooster on the waves.

The last award was the Funniest Wipe-Out which was a box of bandaids and that went to myself (Brett Thomlinson) after a few oopsy-daisy moments.

After the Prezos everyone started to make the journey back home. A few stopped off at the Lano pub for a well-deserved coldie and a bite to eat.
Massive shoutout to Peter Harvey for being the incredible surf report guru all weekend.
Thanks heaps to our Prez who didn’t get in the water herself so she could capture our day on camera and be apart of everyones stoke.
Thanks heaps to Daniel and JC for also snapping some sick shots throughout the day as well.
And a massive shoutout to you! To those that made the effort to come along and make the day what it was - incredible! It was one I’m sure we will still be talking about for a while come yet.
Thanks again all
Roll on next year,
Brett Tomlinson (Social Rep).
